TWO DRIFTERS is a great example of the Back Cove series built by craftsmen in Rockland, Maine. She is powered by a single 480 hp Cummins QSB 5.9 electronic common rail engine with smartcraft display and electronic control. Powerful Bow and Stern Thrusters make her easy to operate in tight quarters. The yacht is equipped with a Kohler 6 KW diesel generator and reverse cycle central Air Conditioning and Heating system. She has all of the good running qualities of a lobster boat combined with modern accommodations, conveniences and equipment. The Back Cove motto is; "Practical Elegance from Maine". Back Cove yachts ride wonderfully, are very fuel efficient and have all the creature comforts of a larger yacht.

TWO DRIFTERS has a beautiful AwlCraft Flag Blue hull that was done in 2024. Her bottom was done in 2024 as well. Her exterior and interior upholstery and soft goods are in near perfect condition and they look terrific. She has a low 1215 Hours on her Cummins QSB 5.9 Liter 480 hp diesel engine that is freshly serviced including a new exhaust elbow.

TWO DRIFTERS has a sea-kindly hull and she cruises economically even at higher speeds. Her pilothouse is comfortable for two couples with very comfortable seating and great visibility. Below deck is a large and comfortable V-berth, L-settee with pilot berth above, and a head with stall shower. On the helm deck, a full galley stretches out aft of the helm seat and to port is a dinette where four adults can sit and enjoy a meal. The inlaid table is a fine example of the Maine boat builder's craftsmanship and tradition, evident also throughout the Back Cove 33. Forward of the dinette, a double mate's seat is a comfortable perch for the navigator. The helm deck is airy and bright with overhead hatches, opening side windows and a center opening windshield. In her cockpit a large bench seat allows comfortable lounging while underway or when anchored in a peaceful cove.

Engine access is extraordinary, as the helm deck including the port side dinette raises to expose the yacht's mechanical systems. In the summer you can remove the canvas aft curtain and get plenty of air. In winter the pilothouse is fully enclosed and warm with her Reverse Cycle Heating and Air Conditioning system. She features a full navigation suite. Her east coast heritage comes through with lots of wood and warmth. First class engineering and great quality fittings make this into a proper little yacht.

TWO DRIFTERS is easy to see at Emery Cove Yacht Harbor in Emeryville. Emery Cove is just 15 minutes from Oakland International Airport. Call us today to inspect this fine yacht.

The Back Cove Story

Practical Elegance. From Maine. Back Cove Yachts, founded in 2003, is a sister company of Sabre Yachts. A group of Sabre dealers requested a smaller Downeast style cruising boat to suit the needs of owners who admired the look and feel of the Maine lobster boat and the dependability and fuel efficiency of a single diesel engine. The Back Cove 29 was launched soon after, and so was a new brand. Today, the two yards are the largest recreational boatbuilding company in the State of Maine, where America's first ships were built on the shores of the Kennebec River as early as 1607.

Utilizing production line method and vacuum infusion technology Back Cove Yachts leads the industry in 34' to 41' cruisers. Currently, more than 750 Back Coves can be found in harbors from Greece to Norway and from Japan to Australia and New Zealand. In the USA boats have found their way to almost every body of water from the coasts to inland lakes.

Back Cove Yachts are built by 200 of Maine's finest boat builders in a modern 240,000 square foot facility in Rockland, Maine. Back Cove associates continuously demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of their role and its influence on the final product. Team dynamics, an emphasis on safe procedures and cross training, and a thorough awareness of each model's competitive position in the marketplace have enabled are essential ingredients that allow Back Cove yachts to exceed today's high standards of excellence in manufacturing and design.
