Engine

Perkins Prima 4 cylinder diesel, installed NEW in 1999.

Single lever controls both throttle and transmission.

The shaft seal is a dripless unit, and a flexible coupling is installed at the transmission to prop shaft.

The propellor is a 2-blade 21 inch diameter feathering unit with stainless steel propshaft.

Accommodations

Beginning aft, the owner's cabin features a double & single berth. Next forward is the galley to port and full size navigation station to starboard with the main companionway entrance/engine box on centerline. The main salon has settes both sides which can aslo be used as sea berths. Pilot berth to starboard and bookshelves to port. Head is forward along with guest cabin, with two single berths with a V-filler piece for full double.

Galley

The galley is located aft to port next to the companionway. Force 10 3-burner stove and oven with wooden cover is connected to a LPG locker in the cockpit. The refrigeration system is a Grunet water-cooled unit, powered by the DC electrical system. The sinks are twin units with pressure water, as well as a foot pumps for fresh water and salt water. Plenty of drawers, lockers and cabinets will take provisions and galley gear. Exhaust fan removes cooking odors.

Hull, Exterior & Ground Tackle

The hull is hand-laid FRP with foam cored stringers and frames. A steel girder structure visible beneath the cabin sole takes all keel and rig loads. The deck is FRP with a foam core and teak plank overlay. Planks are epoxied to the underlying fiberglass, minimizing screws.

Hull is finished in Flag Blue Awlgrip (done in 2000) with gold trim.

33# stainless-steel CQR type anchor on the bow roller. The rode is 300' of galvanized chain. A Lofran's electric windlass (NEW in 1999) with foot operated up and down switches is offset to starboard of the chain locker hatch, which is flush with the deck and locks down with a winch handle. A raw water wash down pump has a hose connection on the foredeck and is concealed beneath a cover plate.
