Manufacturer Description

A luxurious passage maker with a versatile floor plan for total extended offshore cruising, the Marlow-Hunter 50 offers a complete range of live aboard accommodations and outstanding entertainment features. With an overall length of 49 feet 11 inches, plus a 14 feet 9 inch beam and 6 feet 9 inches of salon headroom, the Marlow-Hunter 50 is a BIG boat with impressive interior volume. Driving the Marlow-Hunter 50's hull is a specially engineered sail plan that achieves maximum efficiency while maintaining the Hunter trademark of single-handed sail-ability, which is a desirable feature for a boat of this size. Components aboard the Marlow-Hunter 50 include the famous mainsheet traveler arch, backstayless B & R rig, and an in-mast furling mainsail. A dual-ended mainsheet allows adjustments from both the cockpit and companionway, and all sheets and halyards end at the cockpit which features an electric halyard winch on the starboard side cabin top.

Walk-Through

Starting with the forward "Masters\" stateroom, one finds a centerline queen berth with port and starboard access. Flanking the berth on both sides are storage chests complimented by centerline under-bed storage. Against the forward bulkhead, facing aft, is a large hanging locker with additional storage in drawers below. These lockers are cedar lined as well. En-suite, this stateroom features a split head arrangement with toilet and vanity to starboard and a separate shower stall to port. Overhead hatches and opening portholes provide for great ventilation. Central Air Conditioning and Heating provide comfortable climate control. Moving aft is the spacious main salon which is roomy enough for 6-8 without bumping shoulders. The portside settee functions as a very comfortable sea berth and the starboard U-shaped dinette easily serves 8 for dinner. Th dinette also converts into a berth with queen size dimensions. This and all other areas aboard are served by the reverse cycle central Air Conditioning and Heating system utilizing either shore power or the onboard, super quiet, AC generator. Aft of the portside settee is the Nav Station/ Chart table along with ships monitoring systems, Navigation Electronics and the electrical distribution panel. The very large and functional galley is located at the base the of the companionway and features, hot/cold pressure water, 3-separate refrigerator / freezer units, microwave, dual stainless sinks, granite counter tops, storage below the sole and numerous cabinets. One can only imagine how many weeks/months of provisions could stow here. Below the companionway rests the Yanmar 110HP turbo-diesel that provides ample power to move the boat. To port of the companionway is the Guest/Day head complete with dedicated shower stall, duplicate electric Jabsco toilet as in the Masters quarters and loads of storage. The "Guest\" staterooms; yes that is correct as there are 2 very comfortable guest staterooms, are located port and starboard of the companionway and aft. The port stateroom is the primary one, as it also provides for private entry into the aft head. The starboard guest stateroom has loads of room and storage with a double berth approaching queen dimensions.
