IMPETUOUS was designed by Bruce King to comply with the IOR rule, making her eligible to compete in the One-Ton Class as well as perform as a comfortable cruiser. It has a fin keel with skeg-hung rudder, wheel steering, masthead rig, ample deck space and T-shaped cockpit. The rebuilt Perkins 4-107 diesel inboard engine is a solid performer.
