This 1990 custom Joe Adams designed race boat was built by Redford Yacht Design in Australia. LIGHTWAVE was built for the 1991 BUC singlehanded Round the World Race and placed second in Class II. She is made from aluminum with a narrow beam and water ballast to keep her upright and sailing fast. A minimum cruising interior has been installed, but she still sails like the wind, easily hitting 14 to 15 knots and up to the mid-20's if you push her.
LIGHTWAVE comes with a full set of sails and is ready to take her next owner around the world fast.
