50' 2001 Beneteau 50
$179,000.00
Last Updated: 2026-10-01
BEAUFORD offers an unusually compelling combination for the San Francisco Bay sailor: the performance pedigree of a Bruce Farr design, the comfort and volume of a true 50-foot cruising yacht, and the equipment needed to make a boat of this size manageable for a couple or short-handed crew. Her powerful hull form and well-balanced sail plan are ideally suited to the Bay’s strong afternoon breeze and short, steep chop, while her 5'11" shoal draft greatly expands cruising options throughout the Bay, Delta and California coast. In-mast furling, a furling headsail and electric winches simplify sail handling, while twin helm stations provide excellent visibility and an open, functional cockpit for both sailing and entertaining. A Side-Power bow thruster adds confidence when maneuvering in tight marina conditions. Below, BEAUFORD separates herself from many performance-oriented yachts with a highly desirable three-cabin, three-head owner’s layout, including a spacious forward stateroom with centerline queen berth and excellent accommodations for family and guests. For the buyer seeking one yacht capable of spirited San Francisco Bay sailing, comfortable weekends aboard, coastal cruising and longer West Coast adventures, BEAUFORD represents a rare balance of performance, space and cruising capability.

Additional Descriptions
Accommodations
Accommodations
BEAUFORD has what I consider one of the more desirable Beneteau 50 arrangements: the three-cabin, three-head owner's layout rather than a higher-density charter configuration.
Entering through the centerline companionway, the main salon is exceptionally spacious for a 50-foot performance cruiser. A large U-shaped dinette is to port, with centerline seating providing both additional dining capacity and a useful handhold/support surface when underway. The dining arrangement accommodates approximately eight people.
The navigation station is immediately to starboard of the companionway. The galley extends along the starboard side amidships.
Forward is the owner's stateroom with a centerline walk-around queen berth, substantial cabinetry, hanging locker and private head with separate shower.
Two private guest cabins are located aft, each with a double berth, hanging/storage lockers and its own private head.
Interior features include:
- Cherry-stained wood interior joinery
- Dark blue Ultraleather-style salon upholstery
- Large U-shaped salon/dinette
- Centerline salon seating
- Television
- Salon ventilation fans
- Halogen interior lighting
- Three private sleeping cabins
