HANA HOU is a Pacific Ocean veteran cruising boat, with a round trip from San Francisco to New Zealand along with extensive cruising to her credit. The Norseman 447 is one of Robert Perry's best (and favorite) designs - built for safety and comfort offshore in any conditions. The 2-cabin layout features a large centerline aft cabin bed, one of the benefits of centre cockpit layout. The cabins are nice and light thanks to numerous portholes and light prisms. Both cabins have their own ensuite heads. There is a great galley for cooking on passages, very comfortable saloon and lots of storage. This vessel is a top quality performance cruiser built by the Ta Shing boatyard.
The interior cabinetry is flawless grain Burmese teak with laminated curved doorways and cabinet trim. Drawers have dovetail corners adding strength to the joints. The entire cabin sole is teak & holly.
Aft of the chain locker in the forepeak is a V-berth with shelves port and starboard, an opening hatch, 12 volt fan, a hanging locker to starboard. Forward head area follows to port, mirrored cabinet and an opening port.
Salon is next with a U-shaped settee & dinette to port. The aft curved section of this settee has been squared off to allow for greater comfort and there is a mirrored main bulkhead offering a feeling of greater space. Opposite to starboard is a single settee which converts to over under berths. There are shelves and lockers outboard of both settees and a fireplace heat stove with glass window and tile heat protection.
Navigation area follows to starboard. U shaped galley is to port of the companionway. Aft of the Nav area is a wet locker in the passageway to the owner's aft cabin. Outboard on the passageway is the generator in a sound insulated compartment. Inboard on the passageway is the main engine accessible through two large hinged doors. Aft berth is full beam.. There is a hanging locker to starboard, cabinets & shelves port and starboard, an opening, opening port lights port & starboard & two fixed ports on transom. There is a mirrored bulkhead and an adjoining head to port with separate stall shower and marine toilet. From the salon on center is the companionway with five steps leading up to the oval center cockpit.
