The Classic Islander 36 was designed by Naval Architect Alan Gurney. With approx. 770 built and about 100 on San Francisco Bay alone, it is a testament to how perfectly suited the Islander 36 is for our home port, here in the Bay.

The Islander 36 has proven one of the most popular 36' sailboats ever built, and remains one of the most active one-design fleets on the Bay. Large windows on house gives you volumes of natural light in the salon. With the deep keel, skeg hung rudder and keel-stepped mast, the I-36 is a stiff boat that handles the typical Bay summer winds while also doing well in light airs. Her comfortable cockpit and spacious interior is well-suited for cruising and you regularly see them heading to Mexico and points South.
