TE VEGA is a 1984 Mason 63' Staysail Ketch with beautiful sweeping sheer and powerful underwater lines.
This Mason 63 is a three cabin layout starting with the V-Birth guest stateroom in the bow. The head for this stateroom was converted to hanging storage and a tool workshop. It can be easily converted back to a full head with a composting toilet if needed. The main saloon is large and comfortable with plenty of seating. To port and forward of the saloon is an accommodating four person settee for dining and relaxing. To starboard is a fully equipped galley with stove, oven, sinks, large refrigerator and freezer with abundant food storage and counter space. This galley helps to make her a truly world class cruising yacht.
Aft of the saloon are the aft staterooms. The starboard stateroom is an over and under bunk suite suitable for two single crew. The aft master stateroom is spacious and has an adjoining head, large settee/berth and a large queen/king berth with a custom made folding mattress for easy accessibility to under-bed storage. Teak lined cabins add to Te Vega's big cruising yacht character. Both electric heads were serviced with new pumps in February 2019. Air conditioning (2) units and heating were fully serviced in March, 2019.
The master bedroom berth was remodeled from a small full to a Queen/King bed with a custom built mattress that folds up to access the underneath storage and cabin sole.
The galley is forward of the salon to starboard. It is a horseshoe configuration with a large stainless steel propane stove and oven at the end. At the aft side of the galley are two large hinged teak doors for easy access to the freezer and refrigerator storage with ample counter space above. The forward side has two stainless steel sinks with hot and cold freshwater. There is also a separate faucet with an under-counter filtration system. Counter space is abundant and there are several cabinets with great storage and a pantry close by. There is a lead-glass doored wine cabinet and storage above that adds style and character to the cabin. This is a fully functional and secure blue water galley that works well at sea or in port with style.
