Arno Day, the legendary Maine lobster boat builder, was originally commissioned to build "Molly Brown" for a customer in California in 1973.
At some point over the years she ended up in Washington and eventually languishing on a mooring in the San Juan Islands. Then, luckily, she was acquired by an extremely knowledgeable and qualified new owner who could recognize her potential and there began an extensive (and intensive) complete rebuild over the next three years. He spared no expense. Today she shows as new, possibly better!
It's often said "The ideal boat can party six, feed four and sleep two" This is that boat!
It's possible there is a nicer classic 40' cruiser than "Molly Brown" but I haven't seen it.
A quick look at her extensive equipment list speaks for itself.
Her covered slip here in Anacortes preserves her in 'Bristol condition' and is assumable should you wish to keep her here.
In describing this yacht, I quickly exhaust my vocabulary of superlatives.
Additional photos and information and a quick "walk through" video are available on request.
