ROAD TRIP

ROAD TRIP is a Tim Jacket designed racer / cruiser built by Tartan Yachts in Ohio. Jacket's sensible design carries the beam slightly aft giving her a nice wide transom which provides a large comfortable cockpit and spacious aft cabin accommodations below. She has an amazing amount of interior volume for a 40 foot yacht with private cabins for two couples, a large head with stall shower, a well designed spacious galley and a comfortable navigation station.

The rig is normal with a SA/D of 23.16 and an 8-degree sweep to the triple spreaders. Her current owner has thoughtfully upgraded her for short handed performance sailing. She features almost new carbon sails, high tech running rigging and a nice compliment of electronics. She was a freshwater boat in Lake Michigan for most of her life and she was stored indoors in a heated facility each winter. She was a well decorated Mackinaw Race veteran over the years. Don't let the racer pedigree of ROAD TRIP scare you, she is also a comfortable cruising sailboat that performs well and she is fun to sail!
