Designed and built by Frank Butler the Catalina 30 was originally introduced in 1976. It has an overall length of 29.92 ft and a waterline length of 25 ft. She displaces 10,200 Lbs and carries 4250 Lbs of lead ballast. The boat has a hull speed of 6.7 knots. Frank Butler was respected for designing good solid boats that combine performance and comfort without costing a fortune. This design philosophy is best expressed in the Catalina 30, a racer-cruiser that set the trend for many of todays successful lines after a production run of 25 years and more than 6400 boats. The Catalina 30 was inducted into the American Sailboat Hall of Fame in 2001.
