SIDONIA

SIDONIA has been lovingly cared for and updated by her long term owners who just had her hauled and bottom painted in November 2020. She has had a recent standing rigging update, she has nice sails and a reliable Yanmar Diesel engine. Her teak decks are in good shape and her interior is clean and well organized. She features a cruising arch with a solar array, a wind vane steering system and an Avon dinghy that hangs on a set of stainless steel dinghy davits.

The Hans Christian Christina 40 is a Scott Sprague design with a modified fin keel and a skeg hung rudder. With her flat transom and underbody configuration she is an updated Hans Christian that is more functional, faster and more maneuverable in tight quarters than the traditional Hans Christian designs.

SIDONIA sleeps 4 in two comfortable private staterooms plus 1 dinette and 1 Settee berth for a total of 6 berths. The master stateroom is forward with a spacious V-Berth. Just aft to port is the large comfortable head compartment with a separate stall shower. Across from the head to starboard is a nice storage area with two large hanging locker / shelf cabinets. The main salon features a port side U-Shaped dinette with a teak table and a straight settee across to starboard. The workable chefs galley is at the base of the companionway to port with a centerline double stainless steel sink, a 3 burner gimbaled propane stove with oven and broiler below and a microwave oven above. The refrigeration is Glacier Bay with a 12 cubic foot top and front loading box. The galley has expansive counter tops and ample cabinet storage. Across from the galley to starboard is a very function navigation station desk with a private double stateroom aft. The interior is lined with teak staving on the hull sides and bulkheads and grooved white wainscot overhead. The upholstery on SIDONIA has been updated and it is in excellent condition. Fixed Lexan windows provide ample natural light for a bright and airy feeling. The interior is traditional in nature with subtle design elements that give the yacht the more modern feel that the Christina series is known for.
