SWEPT AWAY

34' 1984 San Juan 34 Sloop

$10,900.00

ANOTHER PRICE REDUCTION !!!

The 34' San Juan was ahead of its time.  SWEPT AWAY  is a very comfortable cruiser.  With her racy sheer line, deep draft, deep rudder and keel stepped tall rig mast she sails easily upwind.  She has a neutral helm either on beam or broad reach.  With all lines led aft and mid-boom sheeting she is easy to single hand.

This solid fiberglass Racer/Cruiser almost invented the category.  Designed by Hein Driehuyzen of Canada and built in Kent Washington by the Clark Boat Works.  This is hull number 48 of 50 (I believe).  The construction features are many, starting with an inward flange for the deck to hull joint, for a stiffer bond, and aluminum toe rail.  There are IOR influences too, with larger headsail, she sails to weather well and is fast downwind.  This is offset by a 'stiff' Bal/ Disp ratio of 45.71.  PHRF rating should be around 138.

SWEPT AWAY would make a great family or starter boat.  She represents a good boat for the money.
