AURORA was designed by Mark Ellis and lovingly built in Canada..  The Aloha 32 is a beautiful example of a well designed, sea going cruiser with classic proportions.  On the outside the Aloha 32 sports graceful, classic proportions. On the inside, you'll find an arrangement that is functional and pleasant for both offshore and weekend cruising viewpoints. While her appearance is strictly traditional, her performance and comforts are very contemporary.

 In the 1960s, Ti Ouyang founded a company in Calcutta, India that crafted custom office furniture. Unrest in India brought him to Canada, and while working for Whitby Boat Works, he was inspired to start a company to make high quality boats. He saw an opportunity for well-designed small yachts, carefully constructed with good materials, and finished with fine teak cabinet work. For their size, the boats were expensive, but he felt that sailors would appreciate their qualities.

Recognizing the popularity of the Niagara 35, Ouyang had its designer Mark Ellis take the next step in development, creating the Aloha 32. The result was a well-appointed small boat. Not many were made, and they seldom appear on the market. AURORA was one of the last out of the Aloha shop and has been in the original owner’s family for 30 years.
