A powerful masthead rig gives the Tartan 3500 speed on all points of sail. This speedy cruiser can stand up to a stiff breeze, yet ghost along on the lightest zephyrs. Its elliptical, balanced spade rudder means a tight turning radius and a rewarding response to your touch on the wheel. The cockpit is deep for security underway, and the self-tailing Harken winches and deck hardware are sized and located to make shorthanded sailing easy and safe. 

An electrically operated swim platform with ladder eliminates any hassles for the entire crew when boarding from the water, dinghy, or dock. The big-boat size nav station faces aft, for easy communication with the person on the helm. And wide, flat side decks (instead of dangerous narrow, sloping, or highly-cambered decks) ensure safety when going forward.
