BLACK DIAMOND

BLACK DIAMOND is an original owner 53' Super Maramu 2000 Center Cockpit Ketch that was commissioned by a very experienced yachtsman with thousands of miles of ocean cruising to his credit. She was one of the last Super Maramu 53's built by Henri Amel. Amel had a reputation for making each new yacht he built better than the last. A collaboration between Amel and this owner created a spectacular yacht that is extensively equipped for safe and comfortable performance cruising throughout the world.

BLACK DIAMOND was constructed with four separate water tight compartments for safety at sea. Her engine and generator room is completely isolated from her living areas and is accessed via a large hatch in the cockpit sole. A sea chest in the engine room consolidates all thru-hull vales in one place. A central bilge in the engine room handles all gray waste. A benefit of this innovative design is dry, clean, odor free bilge compartments located throughout the living areas for storage of cruising gear and provisions.  

She is fully air conditioned, with a separate central diesel heating system that makes her comfortable in any climate. Electric furling sails, a retractable bow thruster, a generator and redundant electronics systems make her easy and safe for a couple to handle in all conditions.
