The 1997 Navigator 53 Pilothouse Motor Yacht is a California-built raised-pilothouse yacht designed around a combination of liveaboard comfort, coastal cruising capability, and owner-operator simplicity. It is popular because it delivers a lot of interior volume and accommodations for its size.

The yacht has traditional pilothouse lines with a broad aft salon, elevated interior helm, and a large flybridge. One of its defining characteristics is its unusually spacious interior for a 53-foot yacht. The layout was designed to feel more like a waterfront condominium than a pure sport-cruiser.

Built on an easy riding modified V-Hull with a slender 15' beam, the three stateroom interior of the 53' Classic is arranged with the galley forward in the main salon and a U-Shaped dinette in the pilothouse.
