Quality built for cruising comfort and fast, efficient performance, this 30-footer has a wide beam around a contemporary hull configuration with a fin keel and skeg rudder. Her self-bailing T-shaped cockpit contains a wheel surrounded by comfortable contour seats. This boat can be sailed by two with ease. Her interior layout is designed for comfort. Her L-shaped galley with ice box & deep sink make for convenient food preparation. There are berths for five with great storage beneath and a private head and shower. In addition there is a navigation table, wardrobe storage and a stowable dinette table. The cabin is rich with teak appointments and a teak and holly sole.
SUNDOWNER III has a comfortable interior for cruising. The finely detailed teak woodwork contrasts nicely with the tasteful upholstery that is still in very good condition.
There is a V-berth forward with a filler to make a double. The overhead hatch provides cooling ventilation.
The private head compartment is to port. Marine head and holding tank with deck fitting for pump out. Storage consists of a large locker, a small locker in the vanity, and two cubbies. The sink features a shower attachment on the faucet. One opening and one fixed port offer natural light and ventilation.
Opposite the head compartment is a very large and well detailed storage locker with three opening doors.
An L-shaped settee to port, and a straight settee to starboard offer plenty of seating for friends and family, and sleeping accommodations for two more. The dining table is a sturdy teak unit with two fold out leaves on bronze hinges. Shelves with ornate fiddles, and lockers with rattan doors give you secure locations to stow all your cruising gear. Large fixed ports bring natural light into the boat.
The L-shaped galley is to starboard, conveniently located at the base of the companionway for maximum ventilation. Space is provided for a two-burner alcohol stove, which has been removed. Deep stainless steel sink, and an icebox mean that you can prepare great meals for the crew. You will find ample storage above and below these appliances.
The port side quarter berth displays some clever engineering, with an area that converts into a nav station with sit down chart table for daytime use, and a full length quarter berth for night-time use.
