Additional Descriptions


Salon access is via port or starboard side sliding doors. The large Salon is the nucleus of this popular vessel. The distinct Lower Helm is situated in the forward quarter leaving a spacious seating area for entertaining or relaxation.  The saloon has 2 AC/heater units ensuring a comfortable environment no matter the time of year. 

The lower helm contains electronic engine controls with synchronizer and remote control, Simrad autopilot and a KVH 1000 electronic compass. There is a ships clock and barometer and Standard Horizon VHF radio in the panel above the helm. Also on this panel is the remote control for the 1 mile searchlight, controls for the 3 electric windshield wipers and Buell air horn with air supplied from a dedicated compressor on the port engine.  

AFT DECK The aft deck is accessed through dual French teak doors. This area is comfortable area for socializing during nice weather. 


Down 4 steps from the aft deck is the spacious cockpit. This area is great for sunbathing or will accommodate a large number of fishermen. 4 flush mount style fishing rod holders are mounted into the gunwales. 

Access to the transom is via a large swinging door. The swim platform has a swing down teak ladder. Access to the rudder hydraulics and associated hardware is located below decks. 


The Forward Guest Stateroom has upper and lower berths to starboard and ensuite head  with shower. . A very large screened access hatch with screen and 3 portlights provide significant ventilation and light for this compartment. 
This room has its own air conditioner/heater system. 

Walk around queen bed is located in this room including an ensuite head with tub and shower combination. Significant storage drawers with bedside tables and a large double door hanging closet. A dressing table with ample lighting is in the forward port corner.  

A large screened window along with 4 large port lights provide significant lighting and ventilation. A washer and dryer (stackable) is located in a separate closet to port.  This stateroom has its own AC/heater system as well.


Down a spiral staircase from the saloon is the fully equipped galley. All major appliances (refrigerator, stove/oven and microwave are full size and were new in 2018. along with significant storage for dishes, pots and pans. 
A dinette is to starboard and will fold down to accommodate sleeping for 2.

Electrical System

There are multiple electrical systems on this model Hatteras. The primary DC power is 32 Volts. Two new banks (4) (8 volts each) of batteries. These batteries power the DC house lights, start the main engines, power the windlass and provide primary power for a 32VDC-12VDC converter used to power the Micro Commander electronic engine controls. A separate 32V charging system was installed in 2018

There are new 8D 12V batteries and a NEW 12V Charging system.  There is (1) 4D battery (new 2018) used to start the generators. 

AC shore power can be pulled from either 30amp or 50amp sources based on what is available at each port. While underway, the Northern Lights genset provides 12KW of AC power.  An additional 5KW genset is available for 12V house power.  The power distribution panel is in the main saloon.

Deck and Hull

CONSTRUCTION: Medium-heavy fiberglass hull with fiberglass stringers integral to the hull. 

FLYBRIDGE – A ladder at the aft deck provides access to a very large fly bridge with seating for 6 forward of the helm.  A Delta canvas room encloses the entire bridge permitting the vessel to be piloted in complete comfort even during inclement/cold weather. All of the clear windows were replaced in 2018. 

FORWARD DECK – As with all decks on this vessel, the forward deck is molded fiberglass with core. A full beam sitting bench provides an excellent viewing area while underway or at anchor.  A locking, dunnage boxe is located to port. Conveniently store mooring lines, fenders and other auxiliary items.   A powerful, 32VDC Galley Maid windlass with chain gypsy and rope capstan, provides effortless hauling of the 60-pound Manson Supreme anchor and 300 feet of all high test chain rode.

Mechanical and Engine Equipment

The Hatteras 53 foot motoryacht is known for their unique dual, stand-up engine rooms. Fore and aft doors provide convenient access to the main engines, hot water heater, Hynautic hydraulic steering components, fuel management manifold and the dual Racor 75/1000 Fuel Water Separators w/fuel priming pumps.  A remote oil change system for each main engines is located in the port engine room. Compressors for the CruiseAire A/C units are located in the engine room as are the 32 & 12 VDC battery chargers and inverter. All machinery is professionally maintained.
