ATHENA is a very popular, well-constructed older Hatteras 50 Motor Yacht. She has modern lines and is a big aft-cabin cruiser which has always attracted top-shelf buyers. She is built on a beamy modified-V hull with an unusually deep keel. This is a large, roomy yacht and would make an ideal live aboard.
She is the two-stateroom floor plan with dinette and galley-down. The salon is spacious and well arranged. Her engine rooms have near-standing headroom and excellent access to the motors. Guest Stateroom and Head
Forward is the V Berth which has been used as an office. There is a large starboard storage cabinet plumbed for a combination washer/dryer, but not used as such.
The galley is large, light, and well-ventilated with sliding windows port and starboard. The dinette will comfortably seat four people. Galley counters are tiled with refrigerators, five burner cook top, convection microwave oven, double sink and tiled counters. The galley sole is teak and holly.
Engine Rooms Port and Starboard
The engine rooms are port and starboard, each accessed through either fore or aft doors off the hall way to greatly ease maintenance. The Detroit diesels are 8V-71-N 350 HP and both engines perform well.
