Nothing else like it in the SF Bay Area VREYHEYT II a fully restored circa 1922 Steel Dutch Barge shipped from the Netherlands in 2015. It has all the charm of an old European Dutch canal boat but with everything refurbished or brand new including a (nearly no miles) 2013, Mercedes engine and Hurth transmission, new water and holding tanks, water pump, stove, refrigerator and water heater, all NEW interior, upholstery, carpet, curtains, bulkheads and furnishings. The interior is completely turn-key with the hull well insulated. VREYHEYT II has recently been ping-tested for hull integrity and passed with flying colors. It has NEW Trinidad paint applied to the bottom along with fresh zinc anodes. You can move right into this one-of-its-kind old-world conversation Pied-a-terre for the weekend or as a live aboard. Must see to believe.
VREYHEYT II has a pilothouse cockpit motor yacht configuration. Beginning aft with a generous cockpit leading through varnished teak doors into the carpeted wheelhouse where there are hinged opening windows forward to allow for cross flow breezes, steering station, instrumentation and electrical panels are attractively arranged. Two steps down to the salon/galley with L-shaped settee and table to port. The salon has a large, wood framed, opening deck hatch. To starboard is an enclosed head and shower. Forward from the salon is the stateroom with an athwart-ships double berth with storage and hanging lockers. In the bow is the chain locker accessible from the stateroom or the foredeck.
