VREYHEYT II is a restored circa 1922 Steel Dutch Canal Barge. It has been well maintained by a knowledgeable owner. Recently re-powered with a Mercedes diesel engine and gearbox with all new hoses. Water and holding tanks are new along with the water pump, stove and water heater. Bulkheads and furnishing are new and professionally installed. The interior has been updated to very comfortable live aboard accommodations. The hull is well insulated, and the yacht has been recently hauled with new Trinidad bottom paint applied along with fresh zinc anodes.
This yacht will make an excellent Pied-a-terre or live aboard.
VREYHEYT II has a pilothouse cockpit motor yacht configuration. Beginning aft with a generous cockpit leading through varnished teak doors into the carpeted wheelhouse where there are hinged opening windows forward to allow for cross flow breezes, steering station, instrumentation and electrical panels are attractively arranged. Two steps down to the salon/galley with L-shaped settee and table to port. The salon has a large, wood framed, opening deck hatch. To starboard is an enclosed head and shower. Forward from the salon is the stateroom with an athwart-ships double berth with storage and hanging lockers. In the bow is the chain locker accessible from the stateroom or the foredeck.
